Troubleshooting
Recover the session.
- The headset shows the CERES website instead of capture
- Select Demonstrator in the header, then use the invitation assigned to the session.
- The demonstrator cannot join
- Check that the invitation is current and that the demonstrator opened it in the original browser tab. If it has expired or the wrong headset joined, ask the capture director to create a new invitation.
- The capture director has no live view
- Confirm that the session shows as linked, then ask the demonstrator to enter XR. The live view appears after the demonstrator has joined and granted access to the camera.
- The camera, microphone or XR prompt was dismissed
- Return to the session, allow the requested permission and re-enter XR. If the prompt does not return, reopen the original invitation and try again before starting a take.
- Recording never shows ready
- Do not start the take. Check that the demonstrator is linked, camera and microphone access are available, XR is active and the headset has space for the recording. If the status still is not ready, stop and retry the setup.
- A hand outline freezes, jumps or disappears
- Bring both hands back into view, separate them, slow down and hold still briefly. Tell the capture director if the important action was affected.
- The headset says to slow down
- Keep the task safe, slow the affected hand smoothly and avoid covering one hand with the other. The capture director can decide whether the take should be repeated.
- A take needs to be repeated
- The capture director should select
RETRYduring the reset window. If a take becomes unsafe or the session state is unclear, stop and agree the next step before resuming.
